I read this series all in one sitting.
Madan no Ou to Senki has a vibe that is very similar to the Maouyuu series. I wouldn't call this manga a masterpiece, but everything was done very well and the read from chapter 1 to 51 was smooth and nothing bad stuck out. The battles are well illustrated/described and the transitions between strategy explanations and what was going on in the field made me want to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next.
The villains are a tad generic, but this isn't really a problem unless you're really picky about that kind of thing.
