A story about a boy and a girl with an odd personal/professional relationship born from a hyper fixation with something. In the case of Cross Manage it's lacrosse, rather than Shindou's piano. The story follows our two protagonists through their developing relationship using their fixation as a conduit, without downplaying the element and making it feel like a contrived excuse for these characters to interact. Cross manage is a more 'conventional' manga than Shindou at first glance, but they're both very good.

Kurogane and Cross Manage may focus on different sports, but fate seems to land both series' protagonists into the a story of recreational fun. There's a decent amount of focus in both series in regards to competition with their sport. In Kurogane, the series focuses on kendo while Cross Manage is about lacrosse. There's a good amount of comedy present in both series as well as character building. Do take note that Kurogane has a noticeable supernatural element involving the main male protagonist who gains an unusual ability.

BaggataWay and Cross Manage focuses on teamwork and the competitive play of lacrosse. As such, expect plenty of game mechanics that is focused in the story. Both series' main female protagonist also have strong wills as they strive to become a better player. Their relationships with others ranges from friendships, rivalries, and bittersweet. Both series also balances comedy well in terms of storytelling.

They might not be the same type of sport but both Baby Steps and Cross Manage have some similar concepts. Both series has a main male protagonist where after one faithful day, they get involved with a club of people. They are passionate about a sport and play competitively to earn a name for themselves. As the series progresses, the main protagonist learns more about the game and its importance. There is also similarity between the main female protagonist with their personality and energy. But despite this, they can also be tough when it comes to competition. I recommend both series for anyone enthusiastic about  read more
