Both are about originally naïve princesses who are forced to see life outside their small world, in Akatsuki no Yona by being driven out, in Aoki Umi it’s through being kidnapped. Both contain pirates, fantasy supernatural elements, romance and some bisshies. ANY is more adventure with a splash of romance, AUTH is more romance based and shorter. (If you love Hak, you will probably love Raju).

In both stories the girl hides a big secret that the pirates want to know to get what they desire. In Ao no Rhapsodia the girl is a normal citizen of a poor villagge that gets in the boat as a polish in the run of some thugs. In Aoki Umi no Toraware the girl is a princess that when is sacrificed it can grant a wish. Both stories are about love and adventure.

Both plots are based on a princess who is kidnapped by a group of people and the princess soon becomes friendly with her kidnappers. I think Aoki Uni no Toraware Hime is a bit more serious, but Himegimi to Sanbiki no Kemono has more character development. Both are great mangas!

These are fairly similar. There's the princess who is taken away. Taken away into marriage with a hot guy for Reimei no Arcana, and kidnapped by a hot pirate in Aoki Umi blah blah. They both are imprisoned in a way, and feel an attraction towards the enemy. These are both fairly serious mangas.

Standard shoujo fare, but with a sense of adventure. Give the other one a try if you crave more pirates, political intrigue, and historical fashion in your romance manga.
