They both deal with love trianges and unrequited love. Both main characters develop really good friendships with the object of their affection but they keep their feelings hidden because they both have girlfriends.

When I think of Sprout; I am immediately reminded of Tonari no Atashi. They have the same theme, except in Sprout Miku and Souhei are both dating someone else. Both manga deal with a one-sided love that soon blossoms into a mutual one.

Similar feel as Sprout with the same premise. In Locomoco, Hiroko ends up falling in love with a boy before he ends up with her best friend.

Similar plot line about the main girl falling in love with a guy who is already in a relationship.

Stories where the main character(s) are moving in to a new house . Sprout is more dramatic and (while Teen House is still new and publishing) Teen House is more cute and straightforward.

sprout is like an expanded version of Giri koi a girl falling for a popular sporty supposedly charming guy who happens to have a cute little clumsy girlfriend and can't make up his mind who he really likes .. the girl is a whiny crybaby who can't give up and move on ..

Indecisive female protagonist. Love triangle (possibly polygon). They started off having a boyfriend but then slowly realising that their feelings are getting more complicated and changing. Sprout is alot more dramatic whereas Hitohira is slightly more innocent and shoujo-ish.

1. Both main characters are already in a relationship at the beginning of the story 2. Both main characters are secretly unhappy in their relationship (but can't put a finger on that feeling) 3. The supporting male characters are both kind of happy-go-lucky boys, and 4. they are also taken (Souhei in Sprout has a girl friend, and the best friend in 17 has a crush on Megumi) 5. But the main characters and the supporting male leads have some sort of connection... Both are very good reads and wonderful slice-of-life stories. Though they are very similar in plot, the way the story is presented differs. But I highly  read more

Both mangas are full of teenage love problems and dramas.

They remind me a bit of each other about the love in both mangas

Both of them involve girls who fall in love with a guy they cannot be together and the timing is bad, but both are going into depth about their feelings~ So if you liked one of them, you should read the other too~
