Even though Inubaka mainly focuses on dogs, Bow Wow Wata parallels by telling a story about a boy named Tasuke, who is able to speak to animals thanks to his father, who is a Shinto God that runs a vet; and Wata is a dog companion that works alongside Tasuke to tackle on real veterinary issues throughout the series. The series was created by a licensed Veterinarian. BWW is not as well known since it’s publication in English went defunct, I highly encourage anyone to get the first two volumes in English at the very least, if not the Japanese copies. It is impossible to read this series anywhere else otherwise. BWW is seriously underrated and deserves more love. read more
