Masakazu Isshikii is a mystery writer. He lives with his younger wife Akiko in Kamakura, [as it was back in the day in Japan, like the anime (Taishou Otome Otogibanashi)]..
Masakazu moves to his hometown the beautiful straight out of a fantasty like place, Kamakura after marriage with his Very cute, kawaii wife..

The town is full of mysterious creatures from folk tales, like kappa, shinigami, binbougami, yuki onna, etc and others famous fictional yokais. But Akiko is septic. But she eventually sees them and gets scared in a cute way.

Masakazu writes mystery novels and helps the police solve cases.

There's lots of fantastic mystery, ... crimes committed by both yokai and humans. Good Yokai also work for the police and all other jobs ..

Masakazu character grows as he solves the mystery of his father and make peace with himself and his mother.. he loves his wife way too much but like all couples has a fight and she gets spirited to the afterworld by evil yokai.
With help from police, yokai and shinigami he rescues her and meet his parents there.

Akiko character grows, she matures as a woman, and becomes more supportive of her husband. She loves her husband dearly and the kindest woman in the world. She is pure at heart, excellent cooking and housework..
Everybody from gods, yokai and other beings are taken by surprise by her purity and kindness..

This is right up my alley with mystery, comdey, supernatural activity, ghosts and yokais.. lots of romance between the couple and also others ..


Please if this is available have a read... No anime yet but there's are talks about it.

Live action is available and it was so good i had it on reply for 8 hours...lol
