The introduction to this manga is quite casual it may seem simple at first but as the story progresses it adds a special something to it so to speak.

The story revolves around a certain apartment that has quite an eccentric feature and characters. The atmosphere of the story is quite light and relaxing to the point where you might feel quite at home with the characters. Truthfully the pacing is quite slow and follows a simple plot. This particular slice of life genre does not focus on drama but more on an episodic t story and the character developments. Its purpose is just to lighten ... the mood of the reader and it has a romance trait and its subject is on handling a breakup and moving on but don’t fret it still retains its relax and comedic feeling. The characters art style really shows their personality without looking too much plain and the miscellaneous items and stuff that are present in the setting really is quite intriguing. As for the characters personality they are quite likeable and relatable. The characters show the different traits of your usual friends or neighbors. Their personality is often seen in everyday conversations with everyone especially friends. Especially kinds of conversations that makes mood feel happy or light. For those people who seek a somewhat light kind of slice of life without the heavy drama I recommend you this. Although its story is not quite in depth or deep you might still enjoy it for its simplicity.

If somebody wants to read a really really lowkey romance manga that has a cozy and comfortable vibe, or you need a palette cleanser after a heavy angsty manga, then Bonnouji fits the bill perfectly.

It is important to note that this manga is more slice of life than romance. Nothing really happens, or if something does, it's usually in an anti-climactic way. If you want heart-fluttering moments, romantic declarations or good chemistry, this is not where you'll find it. I am someone who watches/reads romance for these reasons, so Bonnouji was lackluster for me.

The light plot wouldn't be much of a problem since ... it's a slice of life, it's way more disappointing that there is no real depth to the characters. We don't learn much about them as we are reading, and they don't go through any growth at all.

While it is true that love is not always butterflies and sparkling lights, the level of awkwardness and staleness that is displayed in this couple makes me think that this is more about two people being together out of convenience or because there isn't anyone better.

At first glance, had picked this story up thinking it would be a nice view into the daily lives of a weird couple and I came out in both ways.A Yes and a no.

Bonnouji is a about a 26-old working girl being broken up by her partner of 5 years, and wanders drunk to her tennant house looking for a bathroom. And we are introdueced to the main chracter and the titular room and its weird eccentricities.

On the surface the troy feels naturally flowing the two leads have nice chemistry , the play along with the Bonnouji element very relaxed and it ... doesn't add more than it needs too. The couple aspect has a sense of balance which in its throughout progression and playfulness and its sense of enjoyment.

However 2 things stick to me which makes me thoroughly enjoy this series. Its time scale and its focus on the couple. The manga plays recklessly with the timescale , bu which what feels like a week of enjoyment is already 2 years.Also I wish the couple aspect had more open minded result, though that could be excused for the manga's short lifespan. The ending however well a bit haphazard did at least leave me satisfied.

Overall, its a good read though one which wont be held with the best of other slice of life reads. I d give this a 7.5 , for at least the fun curiosity it left me with
