Synopsis

Upon the death of his grandmother, country boy Akira Nonaka is taken in by the immensely wealthy and powerful Takatou family. there, he is told that he is a candidate to become next heir to the Takatou name. However, there is another candidate—the princely, handsome Rei, who turns out to be a cousin of Akira's. Far from being competitive, Rei shows no interest in the prospect of inheritance, and instead takes an immediate liking to Akira. Rei's aggressive shows of affection muddle the naive country boy, until Akira begins to discover a budding attraction towards Rei within himself.

just finished this manga ... and i definitely love it.. the characters are so lovable .. and the story was so cute .. ^^ and i've noticed through out the story...i dont know if its just me but, rei is growing more manly ... like at the first 3 chapters i think .. he looks like the same age as akira but as the story goes on he became like usui takumi figure from kaichou wa maid-sama .. his looks became more matured ... its hard to explain but if u read the manga.. u would know what i mean .. hehe .. i know!!! ...

Preliminary (Unknown/27 eps)
Our Kingdom, as of the moment only up to volume 5, ) was probably one of the most enjoyable Manga's I have ever read. I enjoyed it very much because-aside from the fact that it was yaoi =D-it had a light-hearted story line, with a few twists and turns, but I have to admit it was hard to follow at some times. Overall (so far) the story is pretty good, and the characters are definitely love-able. So I would recommend this to anyone, as long as you enjoy yaoi =)

I previously read some amount as it was coming out and remembered a bit, probably one of the first BL I ever read...

I tried to reread it now 20 something years later and I couldn't stand it. It's absolutely a product of it's time and contains a trope I really don't like (fast romance and instalove) so even for nostalgia's sake I can't finish this one...
