Both take place in Yoshiwara, a red-light district in historic Tokyo, and have beautiful art.

Both mangas feature a strong female lead who is level-headed without being too stubborn. While both girls fight for the weak, they are also both realistic in that they accept help when they need it, however ruefully that may be. Both male leads are also similar in their attraction to the female leads, and have some very enticing romance scenes that surprise you from out of no where and take a while to build up. Oiran Girl took me a few chapter to get into, but once I stuck with it until ch 6 or 7 I was hooked! Highly recommend both mangas.

Both manga have a historical setting and a bold female protagonist that is enjoyable to watch, especially when you through in a love interest. Although they have different plot focuses (not counting the romance), they have a similar feel, the key difference being that the protagonist in Crazy Girl Shin Bia-Ah is from the present day.

They are both about a girl who is sold to the red light district during the Edo period. Both of them are in love with an older guy (in Oiran Girl he is only slightly older tough) who protects them. Also they both fall in love in their childhood years.

The characters are very similar in personality and the goals they want to achieve.
