To be honest the recommendation of Lock On is a but obtuse. Indeed there is camera and school life however the feelings of the two are completely different. Not to mention that Lock On was cancelled before it got going.

The story is pretty well done for being only 20 chapters and you feel for the main male character right from the get go as it seamlessly pulls you in. If you have the time you should definitly knock this one out \(^_^)/

It's really hard to describe this by comparing it to another manga I have read simply because it more like a combination of ... a munch of different elements.
Childhood Friend that live next door to each other. The guy has confession issues. He can see the future through his camera and he is not attached to his love. Add in the older guy and a semi traumatic past and a semi selfish girl and you get a story.

This is what i would call ''a shame''. Yes, it's a shame that this manga developed into a melodramatic soap opera.
I was really hoping for a relationship developing in a natural way, maybe with some conflict and drama, but it ended being a terrible story with chamaleonic characters.

Story: 4

The story begins with our beta protagonist who loves cameras and has a hobby of taking pictures. He is in love with his chilhood friend, who seems to be a genki girl and his feelings doesn't reach her because she is always doing some activity.
The plot begins to be atractive when the mc discovers that ... his photos show the girl's future with another guy as a couple, so he decides to ''change this'' in order to be him the one who conquers her love. This sounds good but it is poorly executed; characters don't interact when they have to, they tend to cry for nonsensical stuff and more characters are added to the cast that show romantic feelings towards our beta mc without any real reason but only for plot purpouses.

It has some deformities but it is enough for a romantic manga i guess. Nothing more to add here.

Characters: 3

At first they were lovable, especially the secondary characters, such as mc best friend and his other love interest but they ended being disgustingly melodramatic and hollow.

Matataki, the main character, began as a beta boy who is shy, he likes to takes photos and has difficulties showing his feelings. At the end of the series he is like a god sent to us mortals to understand love, and of course every woman is in love with (or seem to be attracted to) him. Yes, his ''''''''development''''''''' is sharp, rushed and poorly written.

Mirai, the mc's love interest is a genki girl who is confused about her feelings and doesn't want to hurt him but she ends up doing so anyway. That's it.
Ah! she likes lolipops.

The rest of the cast forget their personalities as the story progresses and their only purpouse becomes to help / guide Matataki with his love. They don't seem to care about themselves and we're told nothing more about them, as if the mc plot was the only thing going around.

At first i enjoyed this manga but i ended wanting to puke. How sad.

Meh. If you're okay with these problems give it a try but i don't recommend it. On the other hand you may want better romance mangas... Molester man, Bonnouji, Spirit Circle, Three days of Happiness and Believers are excellent options.
If you happen to like Ginen Shounen you might want to read GE: Good Ending. I don't like this one either but they share lots of similarities. Hetakoi might also fit in this category.
