A set of 9 short stories that make no sense at all.
This work is not to be taken seriously, as the vast majority of them (except 2) are just bizarre in every aspect perceivable.
The most normal thing this work has to offer is it's artstyle, which is admittedly, pretty nice yet simple.
Of these 9 shorts, only 2 of them are worth writing something about, with the rest being completely unconsenquential on the readers opinion or straight up, a detriment to the final score this manga could have gotten.
These 2 stories mentioned are also the longest ones in the set, with "BOKU-chan" being
...
4 chapters and "beat you up" being 2.
(I won't be giving detail into the plot of the stories given, as I feel it would be better for the reader to experience themselves.)
If the author had made more stories akin to the 2 ones mentioned, then this set would be great!
The plots are unique, bizarre, humorous, and even cute to an extent. Goes to show where the true talent of this mangaka falls on, I would be genuinely interested in reading these 2 stories in a longer format.
The rest of the stories available are just nonsensical, a little edgy/tasteless, and over all, boring.
One could argue there's a deeper meaning to them, but making an analysis is far too much effort for a work like this one.
The first 4 stories are just dumb and forgettable.
The 5th and 6th stories are nice!!!!
The 7th is so boring and inconsequential I almost dont have an opinion about it.
the last 2 stories are based on the real world, giving the author's POV on a basketball game.
While somewhat interesting, it ends up being boring. It has a fairly big amount of dialogue too, as it is narrated by the author himself.
I haven't checked anything else made by this author yet, but I hope he went further into making comedic works like BOKU-chan.
In all honesty, just read boku chan... and skip the rest.
