Instead of a typical female protagonist, Kuragehime follows Tsukimi, a man-fearing otaku obsessed with jellyfish living in a girls dormitory with similarly antisocial otaku. This story is hilarious and cute, while seemingly intense and terrifying too. I think it's unrealistic but still incredibly creative and tense at times. I really like all the characters and how deeply their character traits go. The fact that their dislikes stay as prominent as possible while still making way for development shows some realism in the fact that Not Everyone in a story like this ENJOYS banding together and working hard. Sometimes, manga sets a very unrealistic representation when it comes to the subject of powering through hardship and working hard to achieve a goal.
