Main character has to learn to understand and deal with a fate that he didn't intentionally ask for. Both involve demons/ghosts that interact with the main character and he also has to keep his abilities secret from everyone, including those most close to him. Both authors have a very similar illustration and writing style, but is kept individual by key features within the characterizations. (i.e. you always feel like there is WAY more going on within the story than the author is willing to tell you. There is a constant feel of foreshadowing.)

When it comes to supernatural themes, both series adapts an unusual powers and gimmicks. The main male protagonist from both series has a similar personality. Their agenda revolves with supernatural abilities although the main characters follow different paths in pursue of their goals. There is a lot of mystery that also deals with the origins of both series' characters, powers, and overlay of the story. Recommended for fans of supernatural suspense.

Both main characters use the same sort of power (flames around their arms)

The art is a bit similar, Arago and Allen both have "strange" arms, and there's this "don't hurt my friends or you'll pay" type of girls (aka Rio and Lenalee). Also, the police are like the black order, and there's this guy who dislikes the main character. Also, they deal with supernatural foes and have tragic pasts. and the main charas have something "dark" within them.

The characters and emotions feel very similar in both manga and if you enjoy one, you'll likely enjoy the other~

Both of them share the fact that there are evil spirits that possess people and the heroe, Arago defeats them :D

By the same mangaka, so they have similar art and storytelling styles. Both are shounens that take place in modern-day Europe, and have characters who had superpowers forced onto them (vampire, power based off Celtic legends). DS is based off a book series by another author, while Arago is an original story.
