the mafia top is possessive and OBSESSIVE AF, it goes to a point that he even tries to k*ll himself for the bottom bcz the bitchass bottom wants to break up.

btw hot take everyone says ceaser is a BlACk flag but unlike most yaoi tops these days he didnt R*APE the bottom outright like all he did was flirt with the bottom, they only did it AFTER they started dating.
BUT THE BITCHASS BOTTOM decided to go back to korea without even telling the top, ofc the top was ... mad, ofc he shot him, OFC HE DID IT FOR A WEEK STRIGHT, he has the right to be pissed.

So first things first, the art and character designs are gorgeous. Also the first 39 chapters I'd recommend cause both Lee-won and Caeser are written well in the sense that they're both very flawed people but their dynamic is interesting af. But everything takes a nosedived after chapter 40 because of the abuse by Caeser. Like I get that showing the dark side of the character makes sense especially since Caeser was brought up with a twisted childhood so he definitely has a broken morality and that's why his clash with Lee-won who's someone doing the right thing but willing to bend the rules is ... interesting but the r@pe is like the worst way to go about it. There could have been more interesting ways to show the darkness of the character. Also Lee-won basically loses any agency he had prior to chapter 40 and ends up as a victim of the plot and unable to even deal with his circumstances and it makes me sad because he was such a fiery character at the start so seeing him followed out makes me feel cheated as he becomes the same kind of abused uke of toxic bl stories. I enjoy a good devolvement of a character but this isn't the way to go about it. Yeah so I definitely have mixed feelings about this cause the start was interesting but it definitely dropped in quality after chapter 40

I'm so baffled by the amount of people that gave this high scores. Like... did we read the same story?
I want to start this off by saying the first 40 chapters are pure genius. I get why someone would get hooked to this story. The characters are so lively, and have interesting dynamics. Like Leewon, he was such a power house at the beginning. Furthermore, the character designs had thought behind them like with Caesar, his design was jaw dropping. It really showed the hell he went though growing up in the mafia. I even knew that this relationship was slightly unhealthy but these ... characters made me forget about that. It made me want to see how Leewon could make Ceaser into a halfway decent person.
But they had to just go and ruin the story AND FOR WHAT??? Warning mild spoiler but basically Caesar raped Leewon for a WEEK straight well the man was barely conscious. There are no consequences to Caesars actions either...because there never is... The worst thing about this is people are excusing his actions because he was just showing Leewon his "dark side". I swear some people have no idea what that does to a person. Also we could have easily been shown that without the rape. I thought the story was going in an incredible direction, because yes I wanted to see more of his dark side. However this is not how you do it.
I kept reading the story just to see where it would go, because for some stupid reason I had faith in the author. But after chapter 42 the characters don't improve nor do they become static, they actually regress. Instead of Leewon being a powerhouse he instead almost becomes a bystander in his own life. Ceaser just becomes a controlling sex addict that fucks Leewon until he passes out.
This story had great potential this is why I am having a hard time giving it a low score. The first 41 chapters are amazing and what happens at chapter 41 is jaw dropping. It could have been incredible story telling if they handled it right. But no, I guess the first 40 chapters were just a fluke. Don't waste your time on this, I regret finishing this.
