Punch Drunk Love is on hiatus, so what better time to write a review on it!
i’m gonna be switching up my review style and review each part, then giving it an overall score.

Story:
8/10
The story revolves around Seon Woo, a socially awkward office worker, who gets his dreams come true when his boss and crush, Tae Moon, invites him to his car. It’s basically your typical office story, but wholesomeness thrown to the max. It’s very cute, which feels weird to say for a smut manhwa but still. It’s just very lighthearted fun that’s extremely enjoyable to people, including myself. The story doesn’t feel rushed all ... that much, but in some chapters it doesn’t feel like there’s much going on, and feels some what bland at times.

Characters:
10/10
The two mains, Seon Woo and Tae moon, are polar opposites yet compliment each other really well, Seon Woo is a shy dork, and Tae Moon is a confident extrovert. Seon Woo is also an extremely good comic relief to the series and is hilarious as fuck whenever he appears. All of them are developed nicely and are just so fun.

Art:
9/10
Nothing bad to say here, the art is super refreshing and the colors really pop out and are extremely vibrant. The expressions on the characters are not over the top, yet it doesn’t feel like they have no emotion. I will say that the faces sometimes look a bit off and janky sometimes, but it’s made up for with everything else.

Punch Drunk Love is just a pure, vanilla, and wholesome manhwa that is a breath of fresh air in the grand scheme of BLs, and i highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t yet.

I'm not one to write reviews but holy fuck. This manwha bro. You've probably seen the memes that have came from it on social media (hell, that's how I found out about it), and let me tell you, the comedy is not just a flash in the pan. It's a typical office yaoi story (think Cherry Magic but if Kurosawa just saw Adachi as a hole and Adachi was a weirdo), but it likes to really take its time. A lot of BL centered around college guys or working men are usually rushed or stumble about 1/3rd of the way into their story, but this ... one is a real treat for slow burn lovers like myself. Yes, you get the smut early on, but that long simmering romance is what's worth it. I've cackled a good amount of times throughout my binge reading, and it's refreshing to see that this work doesn't take itself too too seriously. If you're looking for a spicy romp that leads into a cute romance with comedy and well paced drama, look no further!
