IMO this is a great relationship dynamic between two fully adult men who are powerful in their own right, without unnecessary imbalances. I wish there had been more time to develop the virus-culling premise but it's definitely effective in giving the main characters their present day motivations as it stands. What stands out here is the expression of care and compassion between them - I can genuinely see a bond between two people forming that is more complex than sexual overwhelm - friendship, trust, partnership. took off points for this review because I think the dialogue could have been fleshed out (show don't tell) even more over, say, 10 chapters. I assume the resources allocated to make this weren't sky high. But my final answer is that wow, this was an incredibly satisfying and beautiful story. They butt heads. They see and want each other. They heal each other. Perfect ending!
