Writing a quick review because I honestly didn't understand how the other two reviews rated this as a "masterpiece."
Decent story, with little to no character development, which is partially due to it being a rather short one-shot. Simple and cute art.
A quick and cute read, but by no means a masterpiece of the shounen-ai genre. Clichéd, and you can find dozens of better variations of this.
I recommend this to someone who's new to shounen-ai. More experienced readers will find this mediocre and overrated.

Gimmick is a one-shot shounen-ai about two friends falling in love after a night of passion. It is a mediocre take on an extremely common trope in the shounen-ai and yaoi genres. On top of the story being a cliche, it suffers from being a short one-shot. Many one-shots are able to convey this type of story much more successfully because their characters are more fleshed out and the story is much longer than Gimmick's.
