This is my first review , I've read the source material long before so I was very happy when the manhwa adaptation came out .
"The Novel's Extra" is an exciting story that follows the journey of a struggling writer named Kim Hajin, who finds himself trapped in the world of his own novel.
One of the things that make this novel stand out is the unique premise. The idea of a writer being trapped in his own story is intriguing, and the author does an excellent job of exploring the possibilities that this concept presents. The world-building is well-crafted, and the characters are well-developed, with each ... one having their own distinct personality and backstory.

Overall, "The Novel's Extra" is an excellent read that is sure to keep readers engaged from start to finish. With a unique premise, well-crafted world-building, and engaging characters, it is a must-read for anyone who loves action-packed adventure stories.

"The Novel's Extra" is a well-executed but generic magic school manhwa.

First of all, the story's premise is incredibly basic. The mc wrote a book, he was isekaid into his book, but oooohhh, things are slightly different! There are teens, there's potential romances, a magic school, and the protagonist showing off. Everyone fawns over him, of course.

Secondly, I haven't read the source material that everyone seems to love, but the manhwa falls into the same trap Second Coming of Gluttony did: it seems to believe that all its readers have read the webnovel. The plot seems nonsensical, and time skips all over the place, as if hastily trying to include only the most plot driven moments from the source material. Some may like this, but to me, the pacing doesn't give any time to breathe.

I read the original manhwa adaptation when it came out. It was definitely a lot lower in quality of art, but I preferred it much more due to the pacing and unique characterization of the mc. This new adaptation mc feels like the most bland piece of paper.

Lastly, don't get me wrong, this manhwa is a lot of fun. If you like more of a slice of life/comedy vibe manhwa, this will hit the spot. The art is great at times, as well, and the mc using a gun is more unique, I suppose.

Overall, this is an adaptation that requires some prior reading to appreciate fully. It's great in small doses, but really feels like missing the mark in large doses. I recommend 1 chapter a day rather than binging.

I tried reading this story twice but the first time I dropped it after a couple of chapters, enough time passed to give this manhwa another chance since the concept is interesting and the art is okay, the scenery art is more beautiful than the way the characters are drawn.
The MC starts off as a nobody LITERALLY his face was a question marks and slowly through his super skill he gets a face and then he ends up becoming stronger.

However it kept bothering me as to why I dropped it so I searched up the novels spoilers and so far it seems the manhwa ... is following it which makes finishing this manhwa pointless.

In the novel he loses his powers with the exception of like two skills, then everyone forgets him but then the power of love makes them slowly start to remember however the girl he ended up with was the boss because he killed Nayuns brother and they had to take time apart so she could come to terms with it but by then the MC starts dating the boss. The novels side stories makes it a whole different story, Nayun ends up becoming the MC who goes back in time and makes it to where she ends up with the mc and nothing that happened in the story actually happened thus making this manhwa and the light novel pointless.... The manhwa seems to be following the novel and perhaps the ending of the manhwa will change but for now I don't recommend it.
