I have read all 877 main story chapters of the webnovel and I can say the MC is really special and is a core reason why I enjoy this story. While at first glance this manhwa may seem to have a typical dungeon type/regressor/isekai plot that has been growing popular recently, the MC really puts it apart from the others. The MC is someone who is manipulative and can use acting to create scenarios that benefit himself. He doesn't randomly get OP powers and suddenly power levels everyone because of hard work and a little luck.

become dependent on him, a regressor to trust in him, and corrupts a priest, showing her "true justice" to leech of their powers. And he's not dense either, he knows when people are showing him good will and knows how to use it while maintaining the relationship at the same time. He doesn't stay weak forever, but he is still considerably weaker than the rest of his party and most of his skills shine in administration.
While, the manhwa has yet to reach the most intense moments of the plot, I would say it's adapting it really well. There was a section when recruiting the priest which was changed, probably to make it more family friendly, but most of the essence was there. The art is great and there's also the inclusion of a bunch of references/meme-y shots added into the manhwa that really makes it shine. It may not be an exact adaptation, but what adaptation is truly perfect? In that sense if you like it, go read the novel and you won't miss too much by just continuing from the manhwa.
The only problem for me in this manhwa the crazy harem. There is a main yandere, the genius magician, he cultivated her into, and others as well. The story certainly isn't the same without these characters, but their craziness certainly could have been toned done a bit. There's this specific thing that is infered to happen in the novel which I feel very uncomfortable about, I bet you novel readers would understand. But, I'm pretty sure it's going to be mostly skimmed over in the manhwa as they already changed the other part to make it more family friendly. But, I suppose it's tolerable since it wasn't directly stated...
Overall, I really really like this manhwa and is definitely one of my favorites. The only reason it isn't my number 1 novel is because of the crazy harem but the devious mc just keeps intriguing and making me love this manhwa/novel to hell. Thanks for reading, hope it was helpful :)
