Story - 10/10
> You see many regression Manwhas these days, but this one... This one's unique in its own way. The Squeleton tries hard to save everyone it loves/likes, facing many hardships on the way and dealing with death and frustration. Seeing him progressing and trying hard make me like this manhwa more and more.

> Not the best i've seen but definitely good and funny when needed.

Out of all the manhwa with a "leveling" theme, Skeleton Soldier reigns supreme. Here's why:

1. Seemingly Limitless Contents:
This "game" setting offers an insane amount of content for the MC to explore. We're talking evolutions, diverse skeleton skills, swordsmanship mastery, and even the inventory system itself. Not only that, the expertise of magic manipulation is being thought carefully, therefore there will be mechanical magical equipments, artifacts, and so on. This constant huge amount of contents and mysteries keeps readers on the edge of their seats, pondering, eager to see what's going to be new that await the MC and the ... "game" world itself. It's safe to say this "game-like" genre has never seen such a vast and creative system for character progression.

2. A Refreshing Take on Regression:
Imagine Re:Zero, but with a power-fantasy Skeleton instead of a psychological struggle. That's Skeleton Soldier. While regression is already a fun trope, what makes Skeleton Soldier shine is the MC's lack of immediate invincibility. Sure, he's destined for greatness, but there are plenty of situations where he needs his wit and accumulated knowledge to overcome opponents with superior power. There's even a scenario where he's trapped in a regression loop unless he can defeat these stronger enemies even at "level 1." Now that's engaging!

3. A Trade-off: Depth for Fun:
Skeleton Soldier excels in both its vast and mysterious world and the sheer amount of creative content it throws at readers. However, character depth might not be its strongest suit. The main theme is just usual protecting women and upholding masculinity and dignity, it's cool, but they aren't super deep. But hey, who needs complex characters when the story is this much fun? The focus is clearly on the mystery of the world, abilities, progression, and, of course, protecting the waifus. And who can say no to that?

Conclusion:
Skeleton Soldier is a must-read. Each chapter and arc delivers a new dose of creative genius. The power progression is incredibly entertaining, a breath of fresh air compared to the overused tropes of overpowered cultivation or hunter class stories with bland characters. This is the crème de la crème, the absolute best in its genre. Forget FFF-Trash Hero, move past Solo Leveling (great as it is), and forget Murim Login – Skeleton Soldier reigns supreme in terms of pure enjoyment and creativity. The beautiful art design is just the icing on the cake. 9/10.

Started off as a grimdark fantasy with light game elements, with a unique artstyle but it became a lot more generic in both story and art as time passed. i hear the webnovel this is based off of has ended pretty unsatisfactorily at 800 chapters. there probably simply was too much buildup and branches and not enough solid structure/fleshing out of the story so it just collapsed, but i still really like a lot of the concepts and story arcs especially in the first season or two. the bloodhound-like leandro, the way years of progress can be annihilated at each death, the cults and the ... inhuman tactics they used, and the implications of time regressing and game systems. the art was amazing too.. sadly not something that could be replicated for hundreds of chapters. overall i think skeleton couldnt protect the dungeon suffered from overvaluation of quantity over quality.
