The best way I can describe this is "A silent voice" meets "From now on we begin ethics."

It's about this girl who's somewhat deaf and her friend and their relationship as they spend more time together and learn about each other.

What I like about this manga is that it does such a good job of showing the hardships of being deaf while also talking about how we could improve on that. It's not just a plot device to make us feel sorry for the lead, it's just a way of saying "that's the kind of life she lives."

first off, this is a yuri or girls love, but not to any extreme extent. as the synopsis suggests, one of the girl named kanon is deaf, and she is "paired" with saki. if this is just the usual yuri, I wouldn't go as far as read it let alone write a review. what makes this series is so special is that it tackles the problem of disability, and showing how the person struggles by having that. perhaps there are some culture problems involved with some of the problems, but nonetheless shows how fragile the society is by just having 1 disabled person in one ...
