Omiai Shitakunakatta node is a masterpiece... Yuzuru Takasegawa, a first-year high school student who is forced into an arranged marriage meeting by his grandfather. Yuzuru is not interested in getting married, and so he imposes an irrational condition: he will only consider the marriage if the girl is blonde-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned, etc. However, Yuzuru unexpectedly finds a girl who meets his conditions, and the two reluctantly end up going to the matchmaking meeting. They then decide to pretend to be engaged to avoid further marriage proposals, but as they play the role of fake lovers, they find themselves falling in love with each other and

becoming real lovers.
The first volume of the light novel, introduces the main character, Yuzuru, and his best friend, Soichiro Satake. Yuzuru complains to Soichiro about how his grandparents have been pestering him to get married since he graduated from middle school. His grandparents want to see their great-grandson before they die, and so they have been forcing Yuzuru to go on blind dates. Yuzuru is not interested in getting engaged, but he also does not want to waste his time going on dates when he does not have any intention of getting engaged. Soichiro suggests that Yuzuru should put out an unreasonable condition to avoid going on blind dates. They come up with the condition that the girl must be fluent in Japanese or at least be Japanese, which would be difficult for his grandparents to find. Yuzuru decides to use this condition.
the story touches on themes of old-fashioned values, gender roles, and respect for boundaries. on the volume 1, we had awesome story plot about Yuzuru and Arisa. the story is about Yuzuru and Airisa who had dinner together, and Yuzuru insisted on walking her home due to her delayed return. Yuzuru expressed concern that he may have caused her inconvenience or may have even been scolded by her parents for walking her home, which goes against their old-fashioned values. Airisa was somewhat distant and sad, and Yuzuru respected her wishes and did not interfere. Towards the end, Airisa invited Yuzuru to come to her home next week to play games and cook together.
Conveniently, Yuzuru's phone rings, and his grandfather asks him to go on an arranged marriage meeting during the Golden Week holidays. Yuzuru agrees, but he adds the condition that the girl must be fluent in Japanese or be Japanese. Yuzuru's grandfather is shocked but agrees to the condition. Yuzuru is surprised when a girl who meets his conditions, Arisa Yukishiro, shows up at the matchmaking meeting. Arisa is also not interested in getting married, and so the two decide to pretend to be engaged to avoid further marriage proposals. As they spend more time together, they start to develop feelings for each other and become real lovers.
Omiai Shitakunakatta is a charming and heartwarming romance story. The concept of an arranged marriage meeting may seem old-fashioned, but the story puts a fresh spin on it by having the main characters pretend to be engaged. Yuzuru and Arisa are likable characters who are easy to root for, and their romance develops at a natural pace. The writing is engaging and easy to follow, making this light novel a great choice for fans of romance and slice-of-life stories. The first volume sets up the story and characters nicely, and readers will be left wanting to know what happens next.
