This manga had everything to be good, but it got lost by the sexual abuse scene that didn't add anything to the plot. As I understand it, this scene served to emphasize Kyo's selfless trait and nothing more. Not even the fact that his sister saw the scene helped anything in the plot, as she hardly appears afterwards, but it would be very difficult to develop something of the characters in a measly 9 chapters. For me, this was forced to seem like krieg is very (VERY) evil, and then go on gaining kindness in the heart as ... if Kyo had transformed him. But it didn't make a very good impression. At least not for me.
If it was something lighter and more beautiful I would have liked it 1000 times more. The brother's plot is well explained at least.

Esse mangá tinha tudo pra ser bom, mas ele se perdeu pela cena de abuso sexual que não adicionou nada na trama. Pelo que eu entendi, essa cena serviu para enfatizar a característica de altruísta do Kyo e nada mais. Nem o fato da irmã dele ter visto a cena ajudou em algo no enredo, já que depois ela quase não aparece, mas seria muito difícil desenvolver algo dos personagens em míseros 9 capítulos.
Pra mim, isso foi algo forçado para parecer que o krieg é muito (MUITO) malvado, para depois, ir ganhando bondade no coração como se o Kyo tivesse transformado ele. Porém não passou uma impressão muito boa. Pelo menos não para mim.
Se fosse algo mais leve e bonito eu teria gostado 1000 vezes mais. A trama do irmão é bem explicada pelo menos.

I'm a little disappointed, because I really wanted to love this story. And while it isn't terrible...it really didn't capture my full attention. The best part of the story was the art style - I mean, it is just beautiful. And the characters...were just okay. The story while not terrible, could have been a bit better and could have been a bit longer to give it more diversity; as well as give the character more time for better development. I really wanted to see the romance between Krieg and Kyo bloom over the course of the story - and yes, while that is what was ... happening, it just wasn't really done too well.

To me, what would have made the story better was Kyo always working hard and trying his best to help/save as many patience as possible, as he wanted to focus on his strengths; because he always felt inferior to his older brother Asuka (although it was his brother that would always encourage and support Kyo to follow his own path, and focus on his strengths). Krieg, his hatred for humans could have been a bit more expanded on - while his past was traumatic, we could have seen a bit more of it. Like, keep his distrust for most humans, but also was willing to tolerate them, since there were plenty of humans who got along with beasts.

Also, the whole "rape" tolerance thing...was just not cool. Even if the rapist is greatly suffering, it is never okay to violently take control of someone. Kyo should have kept his distance from Krieg until he redeemed himself for that terrible act. Better yet, let's just completely get rid of that scene all together and replace it with Kyo convincing Krieg to have a drink with him - after an opening talk, one thing leads to another, and their complicated relationship starts off. As time went on they began learning more and more about each other, and as they began to open up, the more their feelings for each other grew.

Another thing that could have worked (besides making the story a bit longer) was keeping it uncensored; when things are censored, it's never fun to see. It may basically be "beastiality", but it was greenlighted and created for a reason. So keep it uncensored, if you please. I don't know if other people will like it, but I suppose they should at least give it a chance.
