It's Similar but different Vibes. Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou it's more like finding hope in the apocalypse, but shuumatsu Touring it's looking for what's left in the world 

A love of sci-fi and technology runs through both of these manga and they both have emphasis on apocalyptic settings. While Shuumatsu Touring focuses more on two central female characters, Grey Goo has three to begin with and trades some of the sci-fi depth for more comedy. While Midsummer Grey Goo does have bikes, it focuses more on military vehicles. 

Two young ladies (sometimes more) touring on bikes, mixed in with SoL elements in both manga series. Both projects have come from a place with deep passion for bikes and bike touring.
