i really wanted to rate this higher, but the ending ruined it for me
this KEEPS HAPPENING ( i read a few other oneshots that had similar endings recently ) . . . why is it that so many authors end their stories with " hey lets take the child / child coded character and then make her grow up and couple with the mc after a timeskip "

dont see a reason to make her older unless they wanted to hint at something romantic , she could have come back as she was previously ) . yes shes a fairy / supernatural being / not human , but the main guy literally refers to her as a kid , right till the end / even just before she reappears , and shes half his height and very childish . the whole " look im taller with long hair and i have boobs now so you have the possibility to date me " thing ruined what was a really good platonic / found family dynamic , for me
the art is good and ( most of ) the story is better , maybe read this and stop at page 59
