As a very experienced fighting game player and a long time FGC member i can say this manga is extremely accurate, whenever the professors catch me and the boys playing melty in the bathrooms we always jump out of the window (classic melty blood).
another thing i love is the pop offs in this manga, shirayuri plays the most annoying zoner (axl) and still pops off on wins, just like a real axl player, this encapsulates the zoner mentality perfectly.
one thing i wish this manga would do better is put the rest of the chapters behind the tekken 7 season pass so this way only true

6-7-7-6-6 for overall (review x-posted from my storygraph account)
A decent first volume. The art is pretty, but sometimes the characters get very intense - blood, sweat and tears? I'm not really sure what it is, but it's a bit gross in all honesty. I don't think it adds to the story, but it definitely detracts. The intensity doesn't make sense - yes I play games, but I also wouldn't jump through a window either. Soooo… what happens when you mix the typical Yuri school trope then COMPLETELY flip it. Now the stereotypical pure girl of the school that everyone looks up to is absolutely obsessed with fighting games! The art is probably my favourite part of the series so far. The comical over the top reactions are straight up hilarious. Sometimes when the characters start breaking down tons of different mechanics I loose interest a bit but as someone who used to really enjoy playing Super Smash Bros I have to say, I can relate to most of the feelings the characters experience (albeit not with the sheer amount
