Synopsis

The story is about a man whose compulsive tendencies make it impossible for him to keep a job, and a young girl who skips school and loves insects. The two meet, come to support each other in reintegrating into society, and fall in love. There’s a problem, however: namely, the parasites in their heads.

I can't believe this LN is so underrated. I randomly picked up a copy at a shop in germany and didn't know what to expect, but after finishing my readthrought, I became really emotional. What I love most about this LN is how well it portrays isolation and mental health problems. I also thought that the plot about the parasites was really interesting and unique!

I defintly recommend reading this if you ...

But, setting that all aside, I would definitely ...

Spoiler
I have been waiting to read this book for a while now, and since I stumbled upon vgperson's translation, I have read it and will write a review for you all.

In this reviewer's favorite book, The Picture of Dorian Gray, this reviewer's favorite writer, Oscar Wilde, characterized literature in his characteristically glib manner: "A book is good because it is well written. Nothing more and nothing less."

I'll start out with the positives: Miaki-sensei (by way of vgperson) is a wonderful writer!

Parasites in Love isn't as good as Three Days of Happiness. It reads like an exceptionally fluid C-tier romance novel. The plot is so predictable ...
