Same author, historical setting and filled with comical moments. It doesn't follow a single storyline and are rather a series of oneshots, but what makes it similar to Adekan is the showcasing of human to human interaction in different situations as per societal norms. While Adekan is filled with hilarity yet it has a dark side to it, this one is more of a lighter version on the topic, all in all quite the good read.

More than bros but less than homos - this seems to be the premise for both these manga, where the art's stunning and the situations force you to pair these gorgeous male protagonists with each other.

In summation: BOTH AWESOME MANGAS WITH EYE-CANDY AND A GOOD PLOT --------------- [TLDR version] Points of similarity: beautiful and detailed art style, dark twisted mysteries, attractive character design, characters with secret identities, action, BAMF characters, shounen-ai but not really, adorable shota, some form of espionage, pseudo-military, police force, historical setting, underlying master plot that runs in the background --------------- Really surprised Adekan wasn't in the recommendations before. Mind you that this manga handles more mature themes than Kuroshitsuji... which is what I actually love about it. 1. Adekan's art style is very ornate, fluid, and detailed. Unlike Kuroshitsuji, it's set in a sort of fantasy Meiji era so it features a lot of traditional  read more

Both stories are about a man (yakzua/police officer) who finds his life entagled with that of a young and beautiful boy, whose presence brings a lot of grief (aka comedy) in his life

Lithe ninja-fighters. Main characters are a guy who takes it upon himself to watch out for someone who *seems* weak and apathetic.

Main personages are very similar. Both mangas about eccentrical policeman and his freind shopkeeper. Adekan also contains hints on shounen-ai. Both are very comical. You'll enjoy it!

Slightly off-beat historical fantasies. Nice-looking guys who can fight like nobody's business.

If we go by plot and characters than these manga are absolutely different from each other and there is nothing similar here but the fact that the hero is entrusted to take care of the other protagonist which in Adekan is a boy and in KKT is a girl. For those who appreciate a detailed breath taking artwork in manga than we can talk about similarities: these two provide scenery-porn, unusual beautiful art that makes you stare at each page like if you're in a black and white painting. So if you like one...you might want to try the other!
