Many girls in school who are vaguely or not-so-vaguely in love with each other. Mostly light yuri with some serious bits scattered about.

Cute Girls Doing Cute Things. Relaxing comedy. No male lead. While Yuru Yuri focuses on short stories of random comedy related to amusing lesbian romance, friendship, silliness, school life, and slice of life. Comic Girls focuses on the goals that each main girl is trying to achieve.

The themes maybe far different from each other. Harukana Receive is about beach volleyball with fanservice while Yuru Yuri is comedic CGDCT and school life. but they both have the similar format. at least 99% of the population in the anime is (good-looking) females. and yes, there is GL subtext too.

Both are serialized in the same magazine. Both stories take place at all-girl junior high school, and involved with student council. Both has girl x girl element, but Momoiro Trance is more erotic.

Both are shoujo-ai comedies and take place in a school. Gakkou no Sensei is somewhat more mature and has more ecchi scenes while Yuru Yuri is more cute with not as many ecchi scenes (Although I think the only ecchi scenes are in Chitose's fantasies.). Both feature an otaku (Kyouko and Yuriko), a down-to-earth and somewhat tsundere character (Yui and Sakura) and a loli (Akari and Akane). Well, Yuru Yuri probably has more than 1 loli since they're middle schoolers. YRYR has more than 1 tsundere, as well. At least 3 of the characters are tsunderes. Gakkou no Sensei follows a group of new teachers  read more

Slice of life shows featuring a large cast with moe designs. Sweet magic syndrome follows the reopening of the tea ceremony club while Yuru Yuri follows the amusement club who use the old clubhouse for the closed tea ceremony club. Both with hints of the Yuri genre. Waffle (Sweet magic Syndrome) and Ayano (Yuru Yuri) have unrequited love for another character. Amako (SMS) and Akari (YY) are both 'cinnamonrolls' Yui (YY) and Maki/Caramel (SMS) both have prince like personalities. Chinatsu (YY) and Pudding (SMS) both have clingy personalities towards one of the characters. Chizuru (YY) and Cream (SMS) both have fantasties/enjoy taking photos of 'yuri-esque' scenes.  read more

Cute girls doing cute things. Both of them are slice-of-life comedies not written in 4-koma-style.
