I met Yumi cells on webtoon while I swim trough hundreds other stuff. Don't catch my eye on a first glance,. An awkward looking blonde girl with weird looking blue smurf in the backround.

But eventually I give it chance to it and don't regret at all.

The story is simple, our MC is Yumi a white collar employe of a big company accuinting department. We follow her daily lives while she interact with other people. The good twist is we can see how Yumi mind on the inside in form a nice little village with blue robe smurf how are beat each other to the ... death.

The inside struggles, emotion, personality trait manifested by this little cute characters who are try influencing her in every situation.

The story is fun wholesome ride I can recommend those who prefer realistic romance with a nice little twist.

this was such a smart webtoon, I had my doubts starting out but it's honestly amazing. definitely try it out if you're a fan of the slice of life/romance genre, the cells are adorable too. the story isn't all rainbows and butterflies like a lot of romance webtoons either, it feels quite realistic and the way the author has depicted emotions is really well done. had me on the edge of my seat all the way until the last chapter, wondering who she'd end up with, and i wasn't left unsatisfied by the ending at all. also it has a drama out as well which ... is just as good!!

This was my first romance manwha/manga ever and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m glad that I gave yumis cells a shot because I didn’t know if it was going to be good or not based on how low this series was ranked on the manga list. Honestly I’m going to change my ranking from a 5 to a 8 because outside the quality of this series it has done a lot for me in terms of taking me out of my comfort zone and trying something new. My gripe is that it can be boring sometimes when some of the chapters are about slice of ... life and it can drag on. Also it give you incite that other peoples minds work the same yet different at the same time.

Yumi's Cells is an interesting series that uses its unique premise to constantly get into the characters thoughts and actions. The series has a standout artstyle that blends well with its character writing and comedy. The series has a ton of charm put into it but I would ultimately say its hard to get through.

While the series can be very strong, it does have a glaring issue and thats with the length of the story. At over 500 chapters, you get to experience Yumi's many relationship troubles and journey that ultimately makes you think "wow that was a waste of 100 chapters" after they break ... it off. The story could be written considerably stronger if it didn't feel the need to be as long as possible, which hurt my investment overall as I lost interest in her relationships. While going through relationships is very real for many of us, its not nearly as enjoyable to read about over the course of hundreds of chapters.
