The story is really nice. It reminds me a lot of the hunter exam in Hunter x Hunter. Everyone competing is supposedly murdered by some girl with a cannon and brought to live in another dimension(?) where they are all granted a random supernatural power that they are supposed to use to pass multiple trials. Each character has their own goal, the MC wants to destroy the system, others want to just leave, and some even decide to just live inside of the trials and build a settlement.
The art is the best part of the whole

Alright so, first of all, you should give this a chance! Deatte 5-byou de Battle tells the story of a normal guy that's addicted to games. This boy, that have always wished where he could fully immerse in and that could make him forget his "boring everyday life", finds himself in one of those games. MAYBE not how he wanted it to be, but it is what he wanted. Story Summing the start up, lots of people were "killed" and kidnapped by a certain girl, and they were given some kind of special ability, with a vast range of variety for thsoe. ...

Similar in quality to something like Darwin's Game, maybe even a bit better in some departments, but worse in others.
I don't think Deatte 5-byou de Battle is anything special, but it's a death game executed decently well. I came from the anime, which was fine, but the animation was really horrid. Deatte 5-byou de Battle's manga art on the other hand, is just fine. Honestly, the art's not that great, but anything's better than the anime. The show features pretty much most scenarios that you would expect from a death game. Mysteries that the MC gradually gets to unfold as the story progresses as ...

You're never bored but it's not a page turner. Art: 8. The drawings are detailed, and the art is general very good Character: 8: The strategy of the main character are cool but a little redundant. Honestly is not the best character of the series. He's op and cold and not really compelling. His counterpart, Yuri, is already a little better, she's a lot more lovable and has a lot of good fight. Contrary to the mc she's not op, so her fight have more suspense. Nonetheless, ... |
