- confusing plot
- characters actions don't quite make sense

review:
the manga is absolutely carried by its artwork. the plot is quite lackluster & confusing.
characters behave in insane ways & storywise this manga is not very gripping. certain story elements seem pretentious & pseudo-deep, others very cookie-cutter & generic.
the framework of bram stokers dracula seems to serve shinichi sakamoto with inspiration for breathtaking visuals & superficial guidance for worldbuilding.

conclusion:
read it, just for the art alone.

I don't normally write reviews, just because they take long if you want to be productive about what you say. It takes a real masterpiece to make me write a review. This is possibly the best horror manga that I've seen for a while. The art is absolutely stunning, to the point where I've got an entire folder dedicated to the astonishing, picturesque landscapes and much more. Diving a bit deeper into the manga, you will also see that the story is incredibly complex, even going as far as to just not make sense until you've read it like 3 times. The characters are also ... complex, with hints of ableism, feminism and LGBTQ+. It's amazing that the human mind can be so precise with an artistic object, that they can make something as amazing as this. It's up there on my manga-list for all these different reasons. I enjoyed this so much. From LGBTQIA+ to wacky visuals that feels like your in a hallucinogenic drug to heart-wrenching stories of tragedy, this manga has it all.

Overall, I highly recommend this to anybody who can understand the significance and difficulty of such exhilarating work.

Truly a Masterpiece.

Overall, I think it's a good manga so far, I've finished the entire first volume. the whole Dracula story is cool and it's definitely mature in drawing style and what happens in it, but it's not for everyone.

- 1 of the biggest negatives that can be a turn-off for a lot of people is that all the main characters are gay and that there is a slight LGBTQ representation in them. Being gay for pretty much every character is a pain point that could have been easily avoided It doesn't really fit in with the time where the story takes place and it certainly ... wasn't part of the story it was based on. In a way, I don't think it's a good idea to push political ideas into a story if they don't naturally fit into it. It can give a forced feel that pulls the story down. It also makes the group you are writing your story to a lot smaller. Personally, I don't have anything against gay characters but it would have been better if the majority of the main characters were straight.
- 2 It certainly gives a feeling that you have to read on because sometimes you have some questions about what exactly happened....

But in general, it's a story with potential. It has a great drawing style and it's a bit gory and scary. It remains to be seen whether the pain points mentioned earlier will worsen or remain the same.

So a 7/10 as far as the story is finished (1 book is only out).
