Episode 1

And here's another show in which the MC gets banished by his party and from the look of things, his former party will come to regret it having failed to realize exactly what his value is to this so-called A-rank party, although this time Yuke left on his own accord rather than being kicked out by the jerk of a leader seeing that he was fed up with not being appropriately compensated for his role in Thunder Pike. It didn't take long for Yuke to latch onto a new party as he meets up with his former students in Marina, Silk, and Rain as the three go on a quest together as a newly-formed party that would become Clover. They go down into the dungeon and livestream their fight against the dungeon boss before collecting their treasure, and these girls fight like a team, which the same couldn't be said for Thunder Pike. While it's another show like the one in which the healer was banished last season, this one at least has better production values, if nothing else, all while getting two cours to do what it needs to do. In any case, I enjoyed what I saw and it's at least better than the show about living a relaxing life in the countryside, being a beast tamer, being the party's tank, and a healer who's strong just not at healing.

Well...

Currently, I have 19 shows on my list. I'll probably cut that down a bit in time, but looking at my current scores for the shows, it seems that this show beats out half of the list for my personal entertainment value.

That's not a good sign. Still, it does mean that I'll keep watching this show, even if it does its job in a ruthlessly generic way.

"I left my party full of A-holes and went down to lower levels to impress some noobs" That should be a more fitting title.
I just watched a senior who couldn't hang out with the popular kids of the school go to the freshmen area and use his overspending skills to rizz some junior girls.

To be fair to his previous party, a Red Mage who overspends and is over-reliant on items might not be a good RM. The strengths of an RM is being a hybrid of both White and Black Mages as it has access to some skills of both. But dude here's trynna act like a Craftsman instead. xD

Overall, it gave me a big 'Insert self' energy. I appreciate the VA of the Sword Mage though. The Healer's VA sounded familiar too (I'mma look up later).

Not bad, girls were pretty generic basically Roxy from Tensei, the usual hot elf and mmm maybe the red head is a little different from the usual tsundere red heads. Wow 24 episodes, does this develop an actual story?

So this guy has a spell that can restore another spellcaster's mana and the two spellcasters in his former party didn't think that was valuable? What? Any spellcaster with the skill to reach "A rank" should not be that dumb.

If they at least paid him a full share then he wouldn't have any right to complain, but they weren't even doing that.

Like I said...rebadged "The Weakest Healer Is Actually the Strongest"

Laust's old party members kicked him out because he could only cast "low heal"...but apparently his "low heal" plus fighting ability was miles ahead of supposedly advanced healers, even after they hired "boobie healer" and she told them their expectations of healers were too high, they didn't realize that Laust's abilities transcended whatever spells he could cast.

Or even rebadged Level 999 Tank

Episode 2

It didn't take long for Thunder Pike to realize just how important Yuke was to their so-called A-rank party seeing that they are nothing but A-holes. Yuke's replacement Cork didn't even last one quest as he quit as soon as he saw just how dysfunctional this party is. Jamie was gravely injured in the quest, but thanks to the party's recklessness that they didn't have the presence of mind to even bring potions with them, all while Camilla expended her mana so quickly that there wasn't any left to heal her at a critical time. In the meantime, Clover is already making it big as their livestream with recorded footage from Camerat (which is obviously a combination of camera and bat) has gotten the views and in just three days since becoming an official party, they are already taking on a C-rank quest. You would think that Silk is the oldest member of the group seeing that elves are supposed to not age, while Rain would be the youngest, but it turns out Silk does look her age, all while Rain is actually the oldest of the group at a young 20, which is not much younger than Yuke. Clover sure does work well as a team going to show just how important chemistry is and Thunder Pike is starting to feel what the lack of it does. These girls fully understand that seeing that they rejected a persistent guy's attempt to join them and he wouldn't go away, leaving Yuke to knock him out. Anyway, the next quest is a tough one seeing that it was only recently upgraded to a C-rank.

Of course his former party members are a bunch of arrogant meatheads who immediately get their asses handed to them without him. Why he would have stayed with them for five years is pretty baffling.

The redhead seems to know him so well she comes off like the childhood friend. Except she's not a tsundere and she seems to want him to hook-up with one--or maybe both--of the other girls. Points for not having her walking around in her armor twenty-four seven though.

Ahhh that cliffhanger is BS. Damn didn't expect that level of violence when that girl in his old party started getting eaten. Yup Roxy clone, old but still a loli. Oooh an actual 17 year old elf that's new. And his outfit is actual special magic armor, well that explains why it looks like Lina Inverse's outfit.
The animation is surprisingly good in this too, that spell and magic beast were pretty well done. I don't think this is the generic show some are poo pooing it to be.

I stand corrected regarding the MC being a "bad Red Mage" for his previous party; This episode showed the incompetence and lack of accountability of his former party that his over-preparing back when he was still with them is now understandable. Expecting their new "chore boy" to have prepared necessary items for them with his own money shows entitlement from their group, which justifies the complains of the MC when he was in that position.

Not that it matters anymore since I'm now dropping this show.
I like that they've now setup the antagonists that are gonna be an obstacle to the Clover party but, I just don't think I'll ever get into the MC. He's really just the usual greatly unappreciated Anime MC, finding some people who appreciates him greatly.
Would've been nice if there was a buildup but, the Clover girls are just coming off as the MC's personal Appreciation Club, and I'm guessing it'll remain that way.

I don't mind Insert-Self Harem MCs but, I'd prefer it to be believable even just by a bit.

Episode 3

Just like that, Zarnag is dealt with thanks to Yuke's special power. Sometime later, Benwood meets with Clover to discuss the matter, and from what Yuke suspects it's an overflow, meaning something is causing the monsters to leave the dungeon and go on a rampage outside of it. So an emergency quest is issued, while Clover is promoted to C-rank, and given a platinum coin as an apology for issuing a B-rank quest to a D-rank party. Yuke has pretty big dreams as he's aiming to head for the Achromatic Darkness dungeon beyond the Abyss Gate, and to do that he needs an A-rank party. While Yuke himself was promoted to A-rank, the girls still have a long way to go, and there's just no way he's going back to Thunder Pike as while he's childhood friends with Simon, there's just no reasoning with this scumbag as he made his intentions as clear as it gets.

I think it reflects reality pretty well, people who think they are right get pretty self delusional about why it's everyone else that is wrong. At least in my experience. Logic, truth, and facts are all meaningless to them if it challenges what they see as right. It's mind boggling.

Again this show is really surprisingly well done, just the fact they all have casual wear, the monsters' blood actually needed washed off and other little details make this leaps and bounds better than most shows in this genre. Not to mention the fights and monsters are all excellently animated, and the monsters don't look like crap. Throw in the girl are all cute and endearing it's just the cherry on top.

@MenchiK1 I can buy some self delusion but they seem persistently baffled about why they are losing quests. They realize it has something to do with Yuke but they can't pinpoint it. Like they haven't clued in they need supplies and stuff even when told they do. I can buy them bringing in a new member then realizing how much Yuke did for them. But after a couple you would think they would at least start specifically looking for a new member that did was Yuke does. Instead of just hiring randos and thinking they will match Yuke's skill set.

I mean they must have SOME talent to have gotten this far. What did they do before Yuke?

I gather that Yuke has a rare class. You'd think they would at least finally realize "we need this specific class" then look for one.

@MenchiK1 It makes no sense for them to be that stupid though. Not realizing that they need basic supplies like healing potions, especially after that first quest without Yuke where the mage would have died without one, puts them in the realm of absurdly, comically, stupid. But they're not being portrayed as that colossally dumb. They would need to be Goku levels of stupid, at least, to be that dumb, and yet none of them are shown as being as stupid as Goku. They're just conveniently, inexplicably, stupid in this one particular area so that the plot can happen.

Episode 4

Next quest takes Clover to the Aion Ruins to promote an armor workshop's latest line of gear, which are the outfits the girls are shown wearing in the key visual. Thanks to Yuke's cautious approach, the party doesn't fall into any of the traps that his old party would have done many times over by now. After that, a battle against several orcs that are no sweat with Yuke commanding the team. As their reward, they find a magic bag and a scroll. They take a break with a meal and continue the quest where they encounter a Shadow Stalker, a monster that hasn't been seen for a long time. That monster destroys magical barriers and is quite elusive. While magic barriers didn't work, the power of the light scroll turned the tables as it blocked the attack, all while inhibiting its movement seeing that as a shadow monster, it's weak against light. So with that, they cleared a difficult quest taking down an enemy that required some quick thinking to take down, made possible by Yuke's leadership and his party members buying into it.

Well at least some of the monsters aren't pushovers. Their outfits were so similar I barely noticed they were different (plus they already wear them in the ED), no wonder he didn't notice her ribbon. And like the iseakai with the elf, maid, and spider girl I guess cloth is armor in this too? At least the red head's armor is metal. (I guess it's bad we are 4 episodes in and I still can't recall their names even though I just finished watching it).

Thunder Pike is as desperate as ever there as they are even going as far as to go to the Achromatic Darkness dungeon to woo Yuke to return to the team, but that's not going to happen. While Yuke wants to fulfill his father's destiny, he wants to do it with Clover. And it didn't take long for that opportunity to present itself as the guild master has put in a special request for Clover to go in as witnesses for a special investigation. So Yuke accepts that, and gets the catgirl Nene to join the party seeing that he needs a watcher on the team. So with that, it's off to the darkest dungeon for a special mission.

I'm with Yuke's initial position on this one. Their team should gain more experience on other dungeons before tacking on the hardest dungeon. At the very least, get to rank B or gain teamwork experience with the Nene with a warmup dungeon.

Episode 6

It's off to the Achromatic Darkness dungeon on an investigation quest with Clover now five members strong. Right away, Nene is already making an impact as her stealth allows her to see the route ahead to plan out the course of travel. And after making quick work of the monsters they encountered, they come across a chest that is a trap, but Nene disables it before they open it and find a lot of valuable gems in it, along with a rare black box and a Ring of Sanity that's given to Rain. After completing the first floor, Clover turns back and calls it a day, but they run into Thunder Pike where Simon makes a discriminatory remark towards Silk and insulting dark elves, which doesn't sit well for that A-hole party. Simon just continues to not get it at all as he's just complaining about everything and doesn't realize that trust must be earned, and simply being an A-rank party doesn't give them the right to force their will on others. So what happens next depends on their apology video seeing that they are required to make one or else be exiled or lose their A-rank status.
