They’re both edgy for zero reason in my opinion. Including berserk. Most definitely the troll scenes and the rapes. (Multiple both bisexual and straight)

I don't think berserk is doing so much considering the setting and you'd probably find out about worse shit reading real world history of cannibalism, human sacrifice and genocide. Juujika is supposed to take place in modern day Japan. I'm not saying it shouldn't have bad shit happening but the writing and characters actions are over the top just for the sake of it. Today's chapter was actually better than the ones before because I can see a kid pushing another because he had enough of getting mocked but most of the violence and sexual assault depicted here lacks any greater plot relevance and the victims don't even end up being affected much by it. It's there to check a box. |
