| The Rebuild movies are really good imo. If you liked the original series, you'll definitely enjoy what the rebuilds have to offer. |
| Death and Rebirth is little more than a recap, so it's not worth. The modern Eva movies seem like a recap at first but rapidly becomes it's own thing and it's worth giving a shot, I'd also recommend the manga before watching the modern movies. |

I disagree it’s absolutely paramount to see what the creator thought an alternate version of Eva would look like skip the first movie though it’s 99% recap go straight to 2.22 then watch to 3.0+1.0 |

No actually the real reason it was so important was because of how the first series ends (everyone dies), having an alternate story is kind of a good way to make money at the box office while also giving the fans some much needed catharsis. |
