So I went into a few discussions here on MAL and reddit regarding the point distribution now that the results are out and it seems there was an additional rule whereby the VIP's class would receive -50 points if he/she is guessed correctly by someone else. But this rule is completely missing in the first episode no matter how many times I replay it.

Is this intentional or a huge mistake on the studio's part??

If you are an anime only who understood the rules without taking help from LN readers, you would be completely under the wrong assumptions about what the classes are trying to achieve and what their actions are aimed at and how the point distribution might have come to be as it is now. I seriously thought class A gave 4 wrong answers until knowing about the rules in the LN since that's the only possible way to get negative points if going by the rules in the anime only.
