Foxy Pirates Slander (ep. 207 - 219) [spoiler]

never in my life have i experienced such an irritating, annoying and boring arc, the foxy pirates arc looked promising, the straw hats having to fight the foxys pirates to save their crew from being gambled away, sounded like a good arc. but the amount of disappointment i got from these 16 episodes were insane. starting off with the foxys, their captain 'foxy' was such a bad antagonist, first off i thought that foxys devil fruit power was really cool, being able to manipulate an objects speed/gravity, but i later learned how stupid it was (ex. how hes able to use his power so frequently, how he was able to make the hand sign to use his power inside the boxing gloves when he was facing luffy, how a tiny piece of broken glass can deflect his beams, etc) next is his crew and how much they switched up between luffy and foxys crew, how porche (blue hair, long nose, ton of simps) obsesses over chopper and is so overconfident, overall not a likeable character. next is how much cheating and sabotaging gets allowed, i get it they're pirates and its their game they can do whatever, but as a viewer its not enjoyable to watch, same with when foxy and luffy were boxing, the sexy foxy (the foxys pirates ship) is so unrealistic compared to the previous episodes of the show, how foxy has an random empty room filled with spikes, how he has a trapdoor that leads luffy to sink, and the boxing glove machine, this thing was so painful to watch how they just have a full metal room with a machine that has 25 boxing gloves coming out of it, and what do you know, when it makes impact on someone fire spews out... and how there is a mirror just randomly in that room to deflect his beams in order to hit luffy, it feels like they made that specifically for luffy knowing exactly what happens, and how does luffy beat him? he breaks the mirror behind him and foxy is shocked and didnt expect that to happen. also annoying how the foxys kept picking chopper and robin for their crew, why didnt they want to pick any other straw hats, it would've been better to see how the straw hats would imagine life without (Nami, Ussop, Sanji, Zoro, Luffy) not just chopper, but thankfully after they got chopper and were good to go, luffy being the genuis he is decides to gamble his crew again, and for what? a stolen flag, my respect for luffy dropped by 5% there and hes my fav char in one piece. and the cherry on top to this appalling arc is the commentator, i will cut him some slack because he and Magna (Black Clover) share the same voice actor but other wise he was the 2nd most annoying character of this arc, i almost went deaf with how loud he is, even in black clover i could stand magna because he would be serious or relaxed. the commentator also talked around 98% of this arc and it was painful.

Overall i give this arc a 2/10, it did have its moments like at the start but fell off harder than sao
im still going to continue one piece, im still in love with this show, already in my top 10 after 20 eps. remember this is my opinion, no hate toward one piece, just this arc. i look forward to catching up with one piece and what it has in stock for the next 5 years.

I liked it too and the thing about one piece is that luffy and the strawhats are on an 'adventure' and not on a countinous fighting journey. Yes they fight a lot of enemies but people need to see the bigger picture, at the end of the day they are pirates and pirates enjoy being free at the sea rather than just fight all the time. One piece ain't your generic shounen, it's much bigger than that.

LIked Foxy arc common man XD ,the intro was so intruiging but then didnt interest me at all,maybe the fatigue of skyepia was there as i was binging 10-15episodes/day at that time.Is it better in manga?
And after that at water 7 i guess i crossed 20 once.Couldnt belive one piece anime fell so flat from binging 20 eps to barely one.Last time binge was at dresrossa and wci end.
