It's gonna get explained (or I guess "semi-explained") later on, so just wait.
I don't speak English that much, so please cut me some slack

I have no idea but it's probably the fact that it was very new at the time
A bad anime what do you do. Ignore It.

What do you do on MAL when you see a bad anime. Drop it Obviously

He doesn't disappear actually. You will understand why that is, just keep watching. It will get explained later on.

IF YOU ARE IN SEASON 1 (which is terrible) PLEASE DONT READ ~~~~~~~~
it's because the titan is so huge in size and the one who IS the titan is a very small dude (subjective). So when he transforms back it feels like as if it(titan) disappeared. But in reality he's hiding somewhere behind the trees or something no lie XD.

The Colossal Titan doesn't 'disappear' but it is somewhat similar to disappearing. It will not be explained directly, but you will soon get it as you watch further.

The colossal Titan can emit a hot steam that uses its body as the fuel. So it expedited that process that time and burned all its body mass in an instant to make it seem like it disappeared.

but ot never really disappeared, ever, either in the anime or in the manga. On the day of the fall of wall maria, the colossal titan LOOKS like it disappeared, but it didn't, in season 4 you can clearly see the titan crouched and lots of steam, which makes it LOOK like it disappeared. Other than that, we can assume that the colossal titan can change how long it takes for it's body to disappear by controlling how much steam is released

The Colossal Titan has the ability to emit steam at will, as shown in when Season 2 he was able to keep the scouts at bay while Reiner was fighting Eren and in Season 3 when
I assume that he can take that ability to an extreme, instantly turning his entire body into steam and leaving no trace behind.
