Multiple wives or lovers in anime/manga

Is there an anime or manga with a male character having multiple wives or lovers? Especially if it is in the start of the story?

Just to be clear, I am not looking for “harem” since most “harem genre” anime I have seen is just a competition where one guy choose one girl out of many lovers. Unless the anime/manga ends with a harem, then I don’t mind. But I am looking for more of a situation where the male character has multiple wives/lovers living with him, possibly near the start of the story.

For anime, the only one I can think of is The Testament of Sister New Devil, where the main character has multiple lovers, a couple females live with him since the start of the anime, and all the female cast accepted the male character having a harem.

For manga, “Kanojo Mo Kanojo” and “The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You” at least doesn’t go with the “pointless competition” in winning the love for the main character. It doesn't have to be purely romance, I am fine with fantasy like Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari.

I don’t mind Yuri, but please specify if it is a Yuri genre with multiple girls loving each other.

Sure go ahead.

Not sure how many hentai you know but Onee-sans, MILFs, or in general females older than the male character would be great.

Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans has a side character with multiple wives, all of whom are crew members on his ship.

The anime didn't get up to it, but in the Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo Ni LN, all of the MC's harem members marry him. The manga hasn't gotten up to the marriage yet, but it's at least gone to the point where all the current members agreed they're down for that situation

Cross Ange kinda has this too, the MC is a girl and in the end she has a guy and another girl she's with, and there's a few others who notably have a thing for her

oh I also forgot, do you count fighting over who is the "main wife" count as competition?

In the current season Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! the character ends up with multiple girls. It's considered 'the norm' in that society for multiple wives so... fighting hasn't happened. It's Isekai though.

Yes, I am fine with that as well. That is why I also think parallel paradise and Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari are good manga, they at least accept their main character getting into multiple relationships despite the “main girl” desire.
Basic trait, All the girls accept the fact that the male character has to be romantically involved with different girls, girls can compete for minor things

And btw, I sort of hope we can avoid hentai like Jutaijima, simply because I can’t stand ugly male characters,

Minamoto-kun Monogatari

It's about a bishounen who was bullied in HS and thus has no confidence and can't really interact with women. As a part of her research his aunt forces him into a quest to conquer 13 different women. There is a lot of sex involved, especially as the MC gets more and more competent at 'playing the field' but it's not straight up hentai.
