| Chrome Shelled Regios, which focuses on Layfon Alseif, an individual who wants to 'start a new life' and forget about his past. However, in the end, naturally it turns out he can't do so. He's rather strong throughout the whole series and he tries to hide his strength. Fullmetal Alchemist is one which I'm surprised that you don't have on your list. I suppose that you already know a fair bit about it since it is rather popular, but basically the two main characters, Edward Elric, and Alphonse Elric do something which is looked down upon, and possibly illegal, but I'm not exactly sure because my memory is failing me at the moment and their actions affected the rest of their lives. Along with the fact that they are both strong, they are also 'ashamed' of what they did in the past. You could also watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood instead of the original. Kuroshitsuji is another rather popular anime that I saw which wasn't on your list. The main character is Ciel Phantomhive who is the lone survivor of his family. I wouldn't say he is strong, but his butler, Sebastian sure is. I suppose you've also heard a fair bit about this anime. Monster isn't so much along the lines of what you listed as examples, I think. But it's another anime where the Main Character is strong in his field of expertise, in this case, surgery. However he does something which he somewhat regrets and his life descends into a mess of different things and people end up going after his life. Nanatsu No Taizai as recommended earlier by Samune and Maurigata33. This anime is focused on a group of people, who aren't exactly human that are incredibly strong and all have their own pasts to hide. The main character, Meliodas attempts to pass off as a normal person, all while hiding his status as one of the most well known people at the time and place the anime was set. Quanzhi Gaoshou is an anime voiced in Chinese, but it is about an individual known as Ye Xiu, who is a professional gamer. In the game Glory, which he is known as "Battle God", he is forced to leave behind his original account. After doing so, he goes back to Glory, and continues to play, but this time hiding his identity as the "Battle God". I don't think I need to say it, but without a doubt he is good at the game. Rainbow is an anime focused in prison, where all of the main characters have done something they wish to hide. They all grow 'stronger' throughout the anime. Shion No Ou isn't an action anime like what you were looking for, however the main character, Shion is the sole survivor of her family and has a past which she wants to hide. Due to what happened to her as a child, she is no longer capable of speaking and the anime proceeds as she tries to become a professional Shogi Player. I'm sorry if the explanations weren't too great. I hope this helped. |
