I'm sure everybody at this point knows just how little there is of Lupin on dvd here in the states. Sure we got the first series which was really nice, a good amount of movies and specials, but I feel like nothing really new. They tried releasing the second series but I heard there was some kind of liscense issue. What I think should happen is maybe someone like funimation (just off the top of my head) should try and release a few Lupin titles. Like maybe release the second series in seasons, or release part three is 2 sets like they did with "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood". I of course want them to be remastered on Blu-ray, but I'll take dvd if it's all there is. Any thoughts?

It's not actually that bad. Discotek has been releasing Lupin stuff regularly for a while now. The 1992 TV special just came out in June, as did the Blu-ray for The Castle of Cagliostro. Both of the Lupin vs. Detective Conan crossovers are coming out soon (no release date yet as far as I know), and Jigen's Gravestone will be out in the US in 2016. They're also going to re-release Voyage to Danger, which is already out by Funimation, but is out of print. If these sells enough, I'm sure Discotek will work through the rest of the TV specials.

But yeah, I wish the second and third TV series were available in their entirity on DVD or Blu-ray. And let's see what happens with the new series that's starting this year. I hope someone gets it.

The Lupin vs Detective Conan movie and special will be released October 23, 2015 and Jigen's Gravestone will be released in November sometime. I hope a few things happen with these releases:

1.Lupin will get a little more attention from madern anime fans.
2.If sales are good enough, they'll try releasing other Lupin titles like the various tv series.
3.Maybe even Gold of Babylon will get some kind of release if it does well enough.

I'm not trying to say Lupin is the greatest anime ever or anything like that. I just wish he wasn't as obscure a name in the anime community, at least here in the states.

I should mention Lupin The Third Part 2 will be released by Discotek in 2017. Expect an update tomorrow.

Personally i'm waiting for the release of the Blue Jacket series on Blu Ray with that new English dub featuring the original cast of the Adult Swim Red Jacket dub (with the exception of the man who played Zenigata)

Will be disappointed if it's not even mentioned tomorrow at the Discotek panel.

No updates on part 2 from panel, but will release Voyage to Danger and Return the Treasure on dvd and blue-ray. You sure about 2017?

Am I sure? They announced the first box set of Lupin III Part 2 will be released in December of this year. I originally thought it would be next year. Also Voyage to danger BD/DVD combo pack already came out.. it's been out for awhile now. It was Return the treasure that was announced for a DVD release this year. In memory of Walther P-38 will have a BD/DVD combo pack release coming out in 2017.

The UK is releasing the first half of Lupin III Part 4 on Blu Ray in November (why they're getting it and america isnt is beyond me) I imagine since it's a region b release, it may not work on my playstation so i'll just wait for Discotek to release the entire series. Rumor is this UK release will have the english dub that was recently finished. Looks like i'll have to wait a little longer though :/
