So yea, following the book-theme cult we have going here, a simple topic for the listing and discussing of your favorite authors.

Mine would be Dan Abnett, Elizabeth Kerner, H.P. Lovecraft and R.A. Salvatore

Salvatore has a close second. Especially with the Hunters Blade trilogy. I loved those books. Drizzt goes insane with guilt and shit.

I have never actually read any of Anne Rice's stuff, though I hear from my sister that she makes vampyres as they should be. It's rather pathetic when people read Twilight then another vampyre book and thing the other one is wrong because vamps drink blood and burn in sunlight.

lol, I noticed it there a long time ago. It has been quite helpful. I hate the squiggly red line >.<

ANYWAY. . .

Stephen King is pretty good. Some of his stuff tends to go slow, or he'll make some minor detail EXTREMELY important (ex. in Cell he went on about this little paperweight that the character bought, though it ends up being helpful. that book will make you change your views on cellphones o.o), but they're interesting. Ad are actually SCARY to the degree books can be. It's like Lovecraft, TRUE horror, not endless run and slasher shit.

lol ok. People keep trying to associate me with them because of my title 'Silver Fox of Twilight Moon'.

E.E. Knight is also a new name on my fav author list. The Vampire Earth series is quite epic.
