Hair care is different from styling, so here we are!
My Advice-
What I do is, before I get in the shower, I brush out all the tangles.
After I get my hair wet, I squeeze a half dollar sized amount into my palm.
I apply it to the top of my head, keeping my head out of the stream of water, and I flip my hanging hair on top and lather up( my hair reaches my shoulders, so change as you will).
But what I do is I put PRESSURE on it. I mean I bear down HARD, but only with my fingertips.
When I rinse, I curve my hands to my scalp, and just push the watter down.
As for my hanging hair, I keep my hands the same way and just flick my hair side to side.
Next, Conditioner!
Much the same process, but instead of using my fingertips, I use the balls of my hands( you know, where the finger meets the hand?).
Also, to keep the soap out of my eyes, I'll rinse my hands of soap, and wipe the soap off of my forehead.
Now we dry!
When you step out of the shower, use your towel to dry your hair first.
Once the rest of you is dry, take a brush and comb it straight.
I take a very steamy shower, so I like to use the blow dryer to un-fog the mirror.
Once your hair is straight, take your blow dryer in one hand and your brush in the other. I like to grip my brush by the head.
Set the blow dryer to high and work your brush through your hair after it to help knock more water out.
Work the underside of your hair first, then the topside.
Once your hair is sufficently dry, part it and cool off for about an hour or so.
Later, run the small teeth of a comb through your hair one last time.
If you've done this right, you will have hair so soft all the girls will envy it. |
