I see you also use the Gnome Colors - Human icon theme. Well your not alone with that. d:

Anyways... what you can see in the picture is done mostly by me. (Wallpaper, GTK & metacity theme, panel bg.)

I also try to keep my desktop simple and tune the usability.
I have a Gnome with Compiz Fusion and Emerald window borders setup + awn + costume dark theme.

@zefiriss: GTK and Metacity are both defaults, the icon theme is MacUltimate Leopard. The desktop bar at the bottom is awn manager.

Did a complete Ubuntu 9.04 reinstall, set up some settings different that were bugging me earlier, here is the result:

As you can see, I'm a conservative dude, but the panel is much better organised / used now.

I've migrated my GTK theme to murrine from clearlooks, and messed around with my metacity, they both still have some bugs, but this is how they look now:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/Barmunk/Kpernykp-20.png

Anyone has any ideas what I should do with the window border, becouse this idea I had doesn't realy look that could, then it looked in my mind, and I'm thinking about reverting back to the original InvertedRoom metacity.

Probably the first time I've ever actually used a dark theme, which is kind of a nice change.

While it's a bit offtopic, but here's my answer: I use a Toshiba NB-100, it came with Ubuntu 8.04 NBR preinstalled, right now it has 9.04 NBR. The graphical performance was laggy in 8.04, and terrible in 9.04. It also boots a bit slow, or at least slower what I would want from a netbook. My final problem is the maximus hack, which makes all apps maximized, when you open then. It's cool and all, but it makes windows render inproperly for 1-2 seconds, before you can use them. And it also has problems with some apps, that just stick to being windowed, and leave some artifacts around the screen, becouse maximus tried to maximize them.
After all these bashing you'll probably think that this tiny machine sucks, but no, I like it. Yes, it has it's problems. But don't tell anyone, it can play DS roms through nosgba in wine in playable speeds. d: And for browsing the net from anywhere (which is what a netbook should be doing) it's perfect.

That green orb on the top panel (the other green orb, not the one next to my username) is a custom app launcher for Alchemy.
