Did you like the ending of Death Note?

Yeah I'm satisfied with the ending, however it could've been done better. In my opinion, I thought it was too rushed, it just ended with Light lying down somewhere. I mean there were no flashbacks or crying in it. I don't think it even showed what happened after D:
but storyline-wise I liked the idea of Ryuk dealing the final blow to Light =)

i am still unsure on the subject. one part of me had hoped Light would have won, i really did come to love him... i for a second hated Ryuk though, but then saw how amazing/realistic that flip was. truly an incredible series

In my opinion the end good but, the fact that light yagami die upset and bother me. some people thought what he was doing wicked and corrupt but i think it was a purely intellectual concept

only i if they could have found a way to make light yagami live, the end would be outrageously breathtaking, amazing, mindblowing, and marvelous!!!

you know what would be even more amazing, if light yagami......................turn in to a shinigami after he die, wouldn't that be great just think about it

YES. The Ending was perfect, if it ended any other way I probably wouldn't have liked this anime as much as I do.

It was fair. Like Ryuk said "I don't care if it is fortunate or unfortunate that Light picked up the Death Note. However... It is generally bad luck for a person to be followed by a God of Death.".

Even though Light's plan was supposed to be a masterpiece, it was incomplete in a way, he lost sight of what he was, a person. Soo, the end of the show and his death, seems to represent the atonement for his sins as a human. The place where he died represents his progress, he died right at the middle of the stairs, soo that shows how much he had to do in order to get what he wanted, his objective was impossible since the moment where he saw himself as a god and forgot that his plan was humanly impossible.

I'm both glad and relieved that Light lost.
It's how he lost that I have mixed feelings about.

I think it was great and it made me really emotional...when Light, wounded and running from the inevitable, saw himself before he picked up the Death Note, when Ryuk had his little monologue...I was in literal awe lol. Damn, it was so good!

I do think Near should have been aborted tho.
