This mobile suit isn't that old but it's always been my favorite.

RX-78GP03S Gundam "Dendrobium Stamen"

If I had to pick a new one that I like best it would be Aker's Flag from Gundam 00.

the stamen is a classic design. it was bulky yet it posses a bit of finesse that you see on exia/impulse.

and who doesn't love the otaku. graham aker custom is by far the best enemy mobile suit design. better than char's red zaku and red everything else.

First of all, Valkyries from SDF Macross. Well, I just like fighter/mecha transformable unit. And Zeta Gundam for the same reason.

From way back when eh...While I do like the design of the Zaku II a lot I would probably have to go with any of the various ATs from Votoms.

I mean look at that thing. It's so warlike and practical. It doesn't have that haughty Fancy Santa-esque look like most Gundams do.

As for older super robots, definitely Getter-1 and Gunbuster.

Yeah, the votoms are some of the most basic yet powerful machines. They don't even like they can maneuver all that well. Having super fast roller wheels always fixes that problem.

Getter Robo all the way!

It barely changed at all during Armageddon, it just looker more refined and closer to its Manga appearance. (Getter-1 cape wasn't meant to be a solid wing, but the limits of the 70's animation forced it to be that way)

After watching Ryoma breaking through against a friggin' army of Getter Dragons you earn a new class of respect for the classic Getter.

This!

Also, I love the redesign of Getter Dragon from Armageddon.

The original Dragon = looks like it just stepped out of the Casino Night Zone from Sonic.
Armageddon Dragon = much better colour scheme, for one (huge pic warning)

I like good ol' RX-78-2 myself. A cliche answer, I know, but it's such an icon.

I'm also pretty fond of Golion. It's not the greatest super robot ever but it's recognizable and it's nostalgic for me (as I'm sure it is for many other American 80s kids XD).

Agreed mostly.

RX-78-2
Golion/Voltron
Macross/Robotech Valkyries

Some of the best...classics that never die ;)

Dragonar! It's the best not-really-a-Gundam-at-all ever!

Panzer World Galient is a really good one (and I only seen the RAW version). If you liked Votoms, you'll like this one as it's by same guy (I think).

Fang of the Sun Dougram is another good one with really likeable characters.

If you tell me where you found a RAW of Galient I will be your new best friend.
