Does this anime get better after this point?

Some spoilers below, not much really but I need not to ruin this show to someone else.

So, last year I watched Ergo Proxy until episode 7-9 and stopped when a little boy was killed by a lake. The episodes after that got really boring and I could not handle how much brown colour was used in the "wastelands".

If both Fate/Zero and Baccano! got better at the 3rd and 4th episode, when does this anime reach that stage? I am rewatching it right now and the first 3 episodes are a blast but I keep thinking about the part from last year attempt.

In short, does the show get better like the first episode once I reach episode 7-9?

Hope this forum ain’t as dead as I think it is :p

Don't continue it, you'll most likely not like it. EP is different than both FZ and Baccano!

would hardly say it's bad, but rather appeals to a very niche group. Not my cup of tea and if it's not yours then don't force it.
