Yes..Sadly it is over. I did want it too to continue but i guess they didnt have any other ideas to add on the serie for it to continue. Only hope is to pray that they would keep going for a second season or something similar ^^

it may come back after gintama "ends" again, it would be a great way to avoid making fillers: sket dance gets close to the manga and stops > gintama starts> gintama gets close to the manga and stops > sket dance starts >...
