Higurashi no naku koro ni or Higurashi when they cry (like mentioned above is really good, confusing, but good) -and they do have cute characters

Gakkou Gurashi or School Live! (Really cute characters, with a creepy undertone)

Happy Sugar Life ( Cute pink hair main character, with an extremely creepy story)

Shiki ( Creepy story, pretty characters, not sure I would say they are cute though..)

Rozen Maiden ( Doll like characters, but a killing fest)

Magical girl Raising project ( Very cute characters, don't fall inlove with a single character, you might be dissapointed )

Corpse Party (very gory, but characters are cute)

Highschool of the Dead ( some cute characters, but would lean more to pretty than cute, the name says it all)

Zombieland Saga ( Super Cute characters, kinda creepy story)

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia ( Pretty Characters, a bit creepy)

Another (Kinda cute characters, a bit creepy)

Mirai Nikki ( Cute pink hair girly, with a psycho attitude)

From the new world ( cute characters, super creepy story (haven't finished it, it gives me the creeeps)

Sankarea ( Zombie love story type thingy, it's really cute though)

Alice to Zouroku (mostly cute, but has creepy elements)

Akame Ga kill! ( People die, and some characters are cute)

Diabolik Lovers (Reverse Harem, cute charaters, kinda creepy )

Amnesia ( Reverse Harem, cute characters, kinda creepy)

Gunslinger girl (Cute characters, who are basically assassins)

Elfen Lied (Cute but creepy)

Kokoro connect (kinda cute characters, has a creepy feel)

Yakusoku no Neverland definitely fits that description.

It's currently airing right now. Also a club I'm in (rewind) is currently watching it if you feel like joining in on a group watch.
