What makes it stand out from other magical girl series to you like Sailor Moon and such?

I've already watched it twice, it's one of my favorite anime in the Mahou Shoujo genre, but of course there are better ones, Zakuro is my favorite character. I like the battle scenes and transformations.l, I think most people think so too.

I love the characters, the themes and just how cute the design of everything is (the characters, the weapons, the shop, etc.) I wish that both Tokyo Mew Mew A la Mode and Ore had an anime adaptation too (˶˃⤙˂˶)

I know this is a post for the original but the remake did one thing better that stands out to me. as a fan of American superheros I love how serious this is when it comes to saving the day. when you have to save someone or chose between saving one or many you dont usually see that seriousness in anime especially in a magical girl story. usually like in sailor moon, it's stop the demon or lacky that the big boss sent that is tormenting/threatening the air or something like that the day is saved and no one really saw it except for them. although tokyo mew mew does that it takes it further by exposing citizens to that danger and they get recognized by their actions. another one that does that is magic lyrical nanoha which does a better job at it than tokyo mew mew in my opinion.

Tokyo mew mew for me just holds a special place in my heart, I encountered it when I was young, one of my first animes and I loved it so much. What I love more in the end is how the aliens get to understand the mew girls better and actually go out of their way to save them, discarding their differences. Even Pie who was the strictest of all, did it. But tart was the sweetest, he was just curious and ended up liking Bu-Ling. Though, I personally love the development of quiche and ichigo and was devastated at the end when they didn’t even say goodbye to eachother. I watched the ending of the remake which gave them a goodbye and I’m glad about that. 😭❤️‍🩹, but out of the remake and original I’ll always prefer the original.

I also just genuinely love the small soft moments. Ichigo dancing with Shirogane, Asakasa being a complete gentleman, Bu-Ling and Tart getting along. All that <333 I love them so much

Character depth is incredible aswell. They’re all so unique.

The characters so far seem pretty cute and I find it cute that Ichigo developed a cat-like personality from what I've seen so far.
